Good Afternoon, 

After the launch of the new MyTeamCare.org website, use of SSN numbers to research information on members was not allowed.  As you know, the new site was designed solely to be used with Unique Medical Id numbers (UMIs).  As with the launch of most new websites, there are always "tweaks" to be made - and TeamCare's was no different. 

The Local reached out to TeamCare with feedback and Concerns regarding the inconvenience and difficulty this caused in having to reach out and get the members UMI. Because of our comments and feedback, the Local Union portal on MyTeamCare.org will be returning to the old format ofallowing Local Unions to use a member's SSN number to review claims, etc. 

On behalf of the Local 509 we would like to thank all the members for their patience and helpfullness during this transition. From this point forward, the member ID will not be required for looking up member information. However, the member always has the option to provide this instead of their social when calling the Local. 

Also, a reminder all members can register on www.myteamcare.org to see information regarding your personlized insurance policy. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
